1.What is independent living?
Private apartments that give residents the independence they desire while also providing a safe community environment and minimizing or eliminating property maintenance, chores and more. Independent living at Lamplight Communities means our residents have the freedom to live a life of quality with the convenience of a safe, social, and a maintenance-free environment. The Lamplight Inn of Maple Heights offers the lifestyle choices that encourage independence and individuality for our seniors.
2.What is assisted living?
Private suites or apartments that offer congregate services, personal care and limited skilled care. Assisted living residents are for seniors who no longer wish to live alone or may need a certain level of help, but do not want to live in a nursing home. The Lamplight Inn of Maple Heights offers these specialized supportive services that promote our residents’ independence in a safe, social and home-like environment. The Inn at Maple Heights also has 24-hour trained staff on-site with a personal response systems in the event of an emergency regardless of where you are in the building. Monthly fees will include 3-meals a day, daily activities, housekeeping and linen services, multiple common spaces to relax or socialize along with a trained staff to help residents feel comfortable.
3.What financing options are available?
Lamplight Inn of Maple Heights will help find a solution to make senior living an affordable option for everyone. There are many programs offered at the State and Federal levels and we believe that one is right for you. We will work with you on all of the potential resources available to secure you an affordable, safe and secure housing situation.
4.How do I select a community that is right for me?
Moving into a senior living setting is a tough decision for the entire family. Good planning is key to making the situation easier for everyone. Determine the type of living community and level of care and visit the communities in your area. Each community is different, but it should always be clean, offer quality care, and have an experienced and polite staff. Take consideration the esthetics, meals, amenities, and activities. Ask about complete costs, add-on costs for services or amenities, and future increases. If possible, follow-up with a trial stay and experience the community first-hand.
Individual Residences
5.Can personal items and valuables be brought into the facility?
We encourage residents and families to personalize their room. Items can be brought in such as, beds, chairs, small refrigerators, dressers, pictures, a favorite quilt, or a recliner as long as the room size/space allows. Lamplight Communities is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
6.When are meals served and are special diets available?
Breakfast is served from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for those who are early risers, lunch is served at 12:00 p.m. and dinner is served at 4:30 p.m. everyday. Substitutes are available upon request and special dietary needs could also be addressed by the residents’ nurse or doctor.
7.Is transportation available for scheduled appointments?
Transportation for scheduled appointments may be arranged with the front desk.
8.Where can we go for a family gathering?
Our Activity Director can arrange for the private use of our Activity Room or private dining area for family gatherings and special events. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion, just contact the facility Activity Director to reserve the room.
9.What types of amenities are offered at the communities?
The lease of a suite at Lamplight Communities includes most cost of living expenses. We offer an array of amenities and services that include:

- Emergency call systems in each apartment

10.What type of social and recreational activities do you have available?
- Lamplight Communities has daily scheduled activities. The following are just a few examples:
- Church Services including worship, bible study, rosary and prayer time
- Exercise Classes
- Wii
- Arts and Crafts
- Educational Classes
- Bingo
- Cards
- Movies & Snacks
- Scheduled outings (Shopping, local tourist spots, etc.)
11.Are housekeeping and laundry services available?
Our inclusive rate includes weekly light housekeeping. Linen and personal laundry services are available at an additional charge. Laundry facilities are available on site for residents to use.
12.What about emergencies - is there a personal emergency response system?
Health and safety are a primary concern of Lamplight Communities. All rooms are equipped with an emergency response system in the living and bath areas. Each resident upon move in will be given an emergency response pendent. This pendant if activated will immediately contact a response unit attempt to contact the resident and then contact 911. The "in case of emergency" contact will then be notified via phone that the resident has had an emergency and inform them of the actions taken.
