Our Management Team

Severine Petras (CEO/President), founder of Lamplight Communities. Sevy is responsible for the financial and overall management of all Lamplight Communities. Sevy also seeks new business opportunities and assists in the transition of all acquisitions and construction projects.

Prior to founding the family business, Sevy received her BA and MPA from the University of Akron. She has more than 10 years of Investment banking experience where she focused on the financing of Skilled Nursing, Assisted and Independent Living facilities.

Sevy is also the President and co-founder of the not-for-profit Jefferson County Senior Services who is currently working to build a Senior Center Jefferson County, Ohio. Sevy is an active member on Indiana’s Assisted Living Association’s Board of Directors. She volunteers for Cuyahoga County Ohio’s Access your Benefits program. As well as serves as an active member for the Area Chamber of Commerce in every facility county.

Bobby Petras (Chief Operating Officer), is responsible for Lamplight Communities’ day-to-day operating activities as well as acquisition and growth activities. Bobby is also the Administrator of Lamplight Inn of Fort Wayne. Bobby develops all of Lamplight Communities operating policies to ensure quality care of our residents, excellent employee relations and development, and cost control. Bobby is also responsible for facility re-design and construction projects to meet state requirements. He is also in charge of product and service procurement.

Bobby received his BA from Tiffin University, his Residential Care Facility licensing from the State of Indiana, and has more than nine years of management, staffing and training experience. Bobby is also the founder of Platinum Purchasing which is a purchasing entity that saves Lamplight Communities and Platinum Healthcare combined over $1MM in yearly expenses.

Debbie Petras (Director of Operations), is responsible for managing the prospective and current resident experience within Lamplight Communities. Debbie is responsible in corporate policy, department training, and employee orientation. She works with both state and local community officials to help Lamplight Communities seek and provide seniors secure housing and proper care regardless of financial background.

Debbie received her AMT from Cleveland State University. Debbie brings over 17 years of experience in the healthcare and senior care industry. Debbie also has extensive experience in identifying potential financial qualifications and benefits such as VA, Medicaid, Assisted Living Waiver, PACE, Medicare, Passport and Insurance.

Debbie is also co-founder and Board member of the Jefferson County Senior Services not-for-profit. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Steubenville, Ohio YWCA. And also volunteers her time for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.

Brandie Petras (Director of Sales & Marketing), is responsible for all sales and marketing efforts by Lamplight Communities. Brandie is responsible for the strategic goals, planning, and implementation at the community level. She is also responsible for employee/resident relationship building training as well as consulting employees through resident admissions and discharge.

Brandie received her BSA from Kent State University. Brandie has experience as a social worker working with varied senior populations such as those with severe handicaps as well as ALZ and dementia. She has developed and managed assistance groups that included counselor-run programs for patients and family.

Partnered with the Lamplight Communities is Ben Klein, Principal of Platinum Healthcare, LLC (“PH”). PH was formed in 2001 to acquire and manage long-term care facilities. At present, PH has 26 owned properties and 3 leased properties (as of August 2011). Those facilities total 3335 beds located in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio. Many of the back office responsibilities are handled under Platinum's offices. Lamplight Communities is privileged to have this additional resource to our team.
